Different regions have different cultures .I think that’s why every region has its own government system.In addition,people in Beijing,Hongkong or Taiwan have dissimilar ways of thinking.As far as I know,most of people in the Chinese mainland or Hongkong don’t have so much interest in politics ,while they care more about economy, for instance,share prices and salary.
As a student in broadcast journalism, my responsibility is just report the news fairly and balanced.Therefore, I can’t say it is right or wrong that Hundreds of pro-independence demonstrators besieged a hotel in the Taiwanese capital of Taipei in protest against a visit by a top Chinese envoy. I am just the eyes and ears of the public, and what I only can do is cover it to people around me.

It’s hard to not have a personal feeling about an issue, especially when many of the issues we cover are in the public interest and by their very nature evoke, feeling and divide people. I suppose that in a way, balance is an approach towards managing our feelings and presenting a range of opinion, including whichever one we may feel is right
